It was interesting to learn how many different uses there are for Wikis. They are a great collaboration tool for teachers to use to share best practices - but I'm a little wary of the open forum they provide -- it's undoubtedly difficult to control the accuracy of the content being provided.

Teachers can require their students to fact-check each other - this encourages collaboration and wikis created for classroom use can be password-protected so that only students in a particular class have access to the information and can make changes.
